With deep sadness, Limestone University announced today that its Board of Trustees voted to discontinue both its on-campus and online programs, leading to the closure of the institution at the end of the current academic semester.

In a powerful show of support for Limestone University and its enduring impact on the community, the Fullerton Foundation has made a $1 million commitment to the University’s “Together for Limestone” campaign.

Limestone University has officially launched the public phase of its “Together for Limestone” fundraising campaign – an urgent and essential effort to secure immediate, unrestricted financial support to keep the institution’s nearly 180-year mission alive.

After gathering today to discuss the future of Limestone University, the Limestone Board of Trustees has announced a possible funding source has surfaced which may allow the University to remain open with on-campus and online classes.
