LIMESTONE COLLEGE'S "COMMUNITY GARDEN" CELEBRATION IS APRIL 24!

Community Garden Photo - 40Limestone College's “Community Garden Celebration” (which was postponed from its original date due to rain) will be held on Thursday, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Admission is FREE!

Below is a list of the stations and activities that will be open for the event:

  • Lowe’s of Gaffney- “Flower Tower”
  • Ace Hardware of Gaffney- “Killing Weeds”
  • Cherokee Feed and Seed- “Gardening Tips”
  • Tractor Supply- “More Than Just Tractors”
  • Art Professor Carolyn Ford- “Empty Bowls Project” (Proceeds to Benefit the Humane Society)
  • Green Teens for Gaffney High School- “Seed Bombs”
  • City of Gaffney Visitor’s Center- “Gaffney Farmers Market”
  • Dr. Tamara McGovern- “Plant Germination”
  • Cindy Wilson and Lynda Ramage- “Face Painting”
  • Limestone Physical Education Students- “Herbs and Spices”
  • Chad Phillips and Ernie Ramsey- “Hometown Arborists”
  • James Radford Taylor- “Demonstration Garden”
  • Dr. Justin Bailey- “The Benefits of a Farmers Market”
  • Limestone Women’s Lacrosse- “Headbands and Sunglasses”  (Proceeds go to Limestone College Capital Campaign)

In addition, on hand will be a group of our local Gaffney farmers providing information on their produce and products including an observation bee hive display. Come interact with them and offer your thoughts and suggestions to help our farmers market grow!

They will be firing up the grill! Whole Foods will provide refreshments including hotdogs, chips and drinks. FREE WHILE IT LASTS!
