SOCIAL WORK PROGRAM RECEIVES REACCREDITATION FROM CSWE

CSWELimestone College’s Social Work Program has once again received full-accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

The program most recently received full CSWE reaccreditation in 2005 for an eight-year period. Limestone came up for reaffirmation in 2013 and was successful in receiving full-accreditation beginning in 2014 and ending in 2022.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS RECOGNIZED AT LIMESTONE COLLEGE

Limestone College recognized the best of the best during recent award ceremonies held for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Limestone College’s W. B. and Louise Phifer Camp Academic Award, presented at the May commencement exercise to the graduating senior with the highest grade point average who demonstrates worthy character and leadership ability, went to three students, all with perfect 4.0 grade point averages: Maia Czarnecki, Todd Nakasuji, and Ariel Svantesson.

DR. BARRY SHREVE NEW DIRECTOR OF EXTENDED CAMPUS INTERNET PROGRAM

barry - TwitterSince establishing its Block Program in 1976, Limestone College has been at the forefront in providing educational opportunities for working adults wishing to complete their baccalaureate degrees.

Dr. Barry Shreve, the school’s new Director of the Extended Campus Internet Program, has his sights set on keeping Limestone in front of the pack when it comes to nontraditional ways to take classes.

“Limestone’s advantage over almost any other internet program is that we have quality personnel teaching quality courses,” said Dr. Shreve, who came in Limestone earlier this year after a six-year span he refers to as a “pre-retirement” period when he and his wife lived on a boat and he taught classes on-line. “Our goal is to keep improving on every level, from training and developing faculty to offering a standard schedule of courses.”
