Ten contestants will compete for the title of “Miss Limestone College” during a pageant Sunday, Feb. 18, at Fullerton Auditorium.
The event, sponsored by the Limestone Activity Board, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $10 each at the door, while children 12-under will be admitted for $5 each (cash only). Limestone College students, faculty, and staff will be admitted free.
The winner will advance to the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Pageant on June 26-30 at Township Auditorium in Columbia. In addition, the winner will serve for a year as an ambassador for Limestone in the community and at select on-campus events at the College.
The contestants, all current Limestone students representing various academic programs, are Katilyn Cook, Corrie Drummond, Kenzie Fess, Rose Gipson, Kennedy Jackson, Jewlia Mann, Margot Quinton, Alyia Ruffin, Taylor Sheppard, and Madison Surratt.
The Miss Limestone College pageant will follow the format of a Miss South Carolina local preliminary with contestants competing in talent, eveningwear, lifestyle and physical fitness, private interview, and onstage question.
Miss Limestone College 2017 Brittany Durrah will crown the winner on Feb. 18. Durrah, who graduated from Byrnes High School, is a member of the Limestone competitive cheerleading team.
The Miss Limestone College pageant is being directed by Jamal Chavous, with assistance from Hailey P. Martin who will serve as the Miss South Carolina Facilitator for the representative from Limestone.
