Ragtime, jazz, and silent film pianist Ethan Uslan will perform in concert at Limestone College on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium.
Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
During his performance in Gaffney, Uslan will also provide the music for the 20-minute Charlie Chaplin silent film “East Street.”
Based in Charlotte, Uslan is a three-time winner of the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest and has performed all over the United States and across the globe. Aside from solo work, Uslan has appeared with symphony orchestras, jazz bands, improv comedy groups, and more.
Uslan’s performances are filled with passion, humor, virtuosity, and a deep love for America’s rich musical past. His vast repertoire includes original arrangements of Civil War era songs, New Orleans Jazz, blues, stomps, Harlem stride piano, swing, Cuban rumbas, and jazzed-up versions of classical masterpieces, just to name a few.
