Dr. Monica Baloga Named Acting President Of Limestone University

Dr. Monica Baloga has been named as the Acting President of Limestone University.

Baloga became Limestone’s Provost in February of 2020, after leaving her previous position as Senior Vice President for Academic Administration at the Florida Institute of Technology, where she had served for 23 years. As Limestone’s Provost, Baloga has served as the chief academic officer with responsibility for planning, development, implementation, coordination, review, and administration of all academic programs and support services.

After five years at the helm, Dr. Darrell Parker resigned as Limestone’s President on January 26.

Parker became the 22nd President of Limestone in January of 2018. Prior to his arrival at Limestone, Parker served for five years as the Dean and Professor of Economics for the College of Business at Western Carolina University.
