The mission of the Computer Science Program is to offer undergraduate instruction in current computer science and information technology disciplines that will allow students to secure employment in a computing-related field or further their education through graduate programs. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science - Graphic Design is an interdisciplinary degree with strong foundations in creativity and technology.  The degree consists of eighteen hours of computer science and twenty-one hours of art.

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science - Graphic Design is designed to meet shortages in the computer and graphic design workforce.  Further support from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics in the table below indicates the projected growth for computer graphic design.  According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the job outlook for computer graphic design is up 16% over the next ten years, which could translate to as many as 34,700 new jobs.  Limestone University’s Bachelor of Science in Computer Science – Graphic Design addresses this growing need for more skilled computer graphic design professionals.

The Computer Science – Graphic Design degree is a hybrid program.  The computer science courses are offered online, and the art courses are offered in the classroom on Limestone University’s campus.
