Services Offered
Initial Assessment and Sessions Afterwards
The initial assessment, your first session with the therapist, is a confidential space. It's a time for you to share as much information as you're comfortable with, helping the therapist understand the best treatment approach. Building rapport and establishing a counseling relationship are essential for both you and the therapist during this first session. You'll have time to discuss the reasons for seeking therapy. When scheduling this appointment, please allow at least an hour for this initial assessment. After this, the therapist and you will schedule the following session.
Group Counseling, Psychoeducation Classes or Workshops
Group counseling, psychoeducation classes, or workshops may be offered throughout the academic year. The counseling center will help advertise and notify students when one is provided. If there is a topic or need that you would like to have group sessions on, then please email us.

Sometimes, you may require immediate crisis intervention from the counseling department. The counseling department will aid as needed during a crisis. If there is an emergency, please refer to the emergency page to determine the best course of action.
