Information for Delegates and Trustees

Thank you for participating in the inauguration of President Nathan B. Copeland, Ed.D.

We are very excited to have you participate in the Inauguration ceremonies. The following information is a general overview of the events and logistics for the day. Getting to Limestone University: Special maps will guide you to the Limestone campus and reserved parking. GPS address is 1115 College Drive, Gaffney, SC. (Driving Directions to Limestone University)

Parking: Reserved parking will be held for Limestone University trustees and college and university delegates in the parking lot behind Granberry Hall, a convenient entrance into the Winnie Davis Hall of History. Security personnel and signs will be there to direct you. Accessible parking is available for those who need it. Refer to the Campus Map.

For Limestone University Trustees: Trustees are invited to participate in the processional (march in with the delegates from other institutions, faculty, and the platform party) or attend the ceremony only. Trustees that participate in the processional will not need academic regalia, business professional attire is the dress for Trustees. We will have a section in Fullerton for Trustees who choose to attend but not be part of the processional. Guests of Trustees may sit in the Trustee Section, but may not march in the processional. Trustees participating in the processional will need to be in the Winnie Davis Hall of History by 9:00 a.m. Trustees not participating in the processional and/or guests of Trustees, will need to go to Fullerton Auditorium no later than 9:45 a.m. and let the attendants know they are guests with Trustee Section Seating.

For Delegates: All delegates in the academic procession are expected to wear academic attire. If you do not have a cap and gown, please contact the school or organization you are representing so that they may provide you with the necessary academic regalia.

A secure room will be provided for robing and personal belongings that will be staffed during all inauguration events. The robing will be in the Winnie Davis Hall of History. The room will open at 9:00 a.m.

Each delegate will have an assigned position in the procession according to the year of founding of his/her institution. We ask that you be robed no later than 9:15 a.m. so that we can assure the appropriate order of the procession. Limestone University staff members will be available to assist you.

The Inaugural Procession will form at 9:30 a.m. and begin the processional at 10:00 a.m. We anticipate the ceremony to conclude at 11:30 a.m.

Campus-Wide Luncheon: Following the ceremony, we invite all guests to join us at a community celebration located in the Hines & Riggins Center.
