Former Dance Team Captain
"Limestone was always familiar to me – even before I stepped on campus."
“I graduated high school during the coronavirus pandemic. One day we walked out in March, and that was it – I never walked back in. I didn’t have the usual college visits or plans most students do. But Limestone had always been on my radar. My dance teacher and my high school accounting teacher both graduated from Limestone, so the name stuck with me.
“I applied and got accepted without ever officially visiting campus. During the pandemic, my dad and I did a drive-through visit – literally just drove around – and something about it felt right. I committed soon after that. I wanted to be close to home, but far enough away to grow into adulthood and have a real college experience.”
"Being part of the dance team gave me more than just teammates – it gave me family."
“Limestone always felt like a big family, but being a dance team captain took that to a deeper level. I learned so much about leadership, communication, and how to support others, which are skills I now use every day in my career.
“As a Student Ambassador, I loved sharing my Limestone story with prospective students. It’s easy to promote something when you truly believe in it. Limestone shaped me into who I am.”
From Student Ambassador to Admissions Rep
“After receiving my undergraduate degree, I started my MBA and worked as a graduate assistant in the library, but I kept giving campus tours on the side. One day, I was giving a tour to Travis McDowell, our Vice President for Enrollment Management. Midway through, he stopped and said, ‘You’re incredible – I need you on my team.’
“An opening had just come up in Admissions, so I joined as a grad assistant and then transitioned into a full-time admissions representative. Now I get to help future Saints find their place here, just like I did.”
