Limestone University is calling for submissions for its next juried exhibition, “Girls! Girls! Girls!” at the Art Gallery located inside the Hines & Riggins Center.
The exhibit will feature female artists working in all media types, subject matter, and at all levels of their professional career. The goal is to celebrate a female presence in the art community, along with female creativity, collaboration, and the spirit of womanhood.
“Girls! Girls! Girls!” will be exhibited as part of Women’s History Month, February 17 to March 11.
Submissions are due to Gallery Director Emily Tuttle by February 10 at 11:59 p.m. Submissions can be emailed to etuttle@limestone.edu. There is no submission fee. Artists are permitted up to five entries. Artists will be notified about selections on February 15.
Limestone University art program seniors Mika Walters and Liz Shulman are curating the exhibit.
Awards will be given at the reception for the exhibit hosted on Thursday, Feb. 22, 6 p.m.
All submissions should include images in jpeg format, 300dpi, an artist statement for individual or collective works that reflect upon the theme of the exhibit, valuations of submitted works, and a list of any installation needs. Please include a full label for the works including the title, artist’s preferred name, medium, size of your work, and a school or professional affiliation if so desired.
