Limestone College’s first-ever iPad Hub Professional Development workshop will take place in the A.J. Eastwood Library on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.
The purpose of this event in the library’s conference room is to have Limestone’s pre-service teachers and faculty members demonstrate iPad apps that would be appropriate to use in classroom settings.
According to Dr. Paula Schubert, Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education at Limestone and one of the organizers of the event, “Research has shown that it is easy to become overwhelmed by the enormous amount of information on teaching with technology. The iPad Hub is an opportunity to network with teachers who have an interest in integrating technology into daily curriculum.”
The event is open to the community as well as to Limestone faculty and staff members.
“We are pleased to host this first iPad Hub workshop at the library, and hope to host several more throughout this academic year,” said Lizah Ismail, Director of the A.J. Eastwood Library. The library will make available 20 of its iPad Minis to participants if they do not have one of their own. Refreshments will also be served.
