GRADUATION INFO:
Limestone College will confer degrees on 223 graduates from various degree programs during its two commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec. 14, inside Fullerton Auditorium.
Emmy award winning broadcaster, journalist, and interactive news anchor Amy Wood will speak at both commencements, with one starting at 10:30 a.m. and the second beginning at 2 p.m. Doors at Fullerton Auditorium will open one hour prior to each graduation.
Journalist and former Limestone Board of Trustees member Tommy Martin will be awarded an Honorary Doctor of Public Service degree during the first commencement.
At the morning ceremony, Limestone will hold a graduation for its Arts & Humanities Division and Education & Behavioral Sciences Division. Those majors include (Arts & Humanities) Art, English, History, Liberal Studies, Music, Professional Communications, and Theatre, along with (Education & Behavioral Sciences) Childcare Management, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, English Education, Math Education, Physical Education, Psychology, and Social Work.
In the afternoon, the College will hold a commencement for its Natural/Health Sciences Division and Business & Professional Studies Division. Those majors include (Natural/Health Sciences) Athletic Training, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Health Sciences, and Mathematics, along with (Business & Professional Studies) Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Human Resource Management, and Sport Management.
At each ceremony, greetings will be provided by Limestone Board of Trustees Chairman Randy Hines and Senior Class President Lelia Ann Stokes. Roy Mathis will provide the invocations. Limestone Provost Dr. Karen Gainey will present the graduates and President Dr. Darrell Parker will confer the degrees.
The Day Campus is graduating 43 students, while the Online & Evening Programs are combining for 163 graduates. There will be 17 students receiving their MBA degrees.
All graduates are being provided four tickets for the respective commencement ceremonies for friends and family members. The College will also offer overflow seating inside all classrooms at Winnie Davis Hall of History where visitors can view the commencements live via video stream. The online links to the respective live streams can be found at www.limestone.edu.
For the morning ceremony, graduates can pick up tickets for commencement at Winnie Davis Hall of History between 8:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Graduates will begin lining up for commencement at 9:45 a.m. in the A.J. Eastwood Library.
For the afternoon ceremony, graduates can pick up tickets for commencement at Winnie Davis Hall between 11:45 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. Graduates will begin lining up for commencement at 1:15 p.m. in the library.
For graduates, family, and friends who would like to purchase souvenir items, the Saints Shop Campus Store will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Limestone holds graduation ceremonies in May and December of each year.
