Limestone Hosting "College Night" Alumni Event At Owls Game On July 27

Peanuts and crackerjacks will not be the only things baseball fans find on Friday, July 27, as Limestone College is set to converge on McNair Field in nearby Forest City to bring together area alumni and meet prospective new students.

Limestone alumni and their immediate family members are invited to the “College Night” event next month as the Forest City Owls take on the Asheboro Copperheads in Coastal Plain League baseball action. The Coastal Plain League is considered one of the premier summer collegiate wooden-bat baseball leagues in the country. Former Gaffney High player Houston Wright (featured in the accompanying photo) is a member of the Forest City roster.

Starting at 6 p.m., there will be an exclusive pre-game party on “The Perch” with complimentary appetizers and non-alcohol beverages for Limestone alumni and guests. Alumni will be joined by faculty, staff, and students from Limestone. Photo opportunities will be available with Limestone mascot “Bernie” and members of the Saints cheerleading squad.

Admissions Department staff from Limestone will also be on hand to provide information to prospective students and their parents attending the game.

The party on “The Perch” will last until 8 p.m., and the first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Limestone alumni can register for the event at www.Limestone.edu/CollegeNight. Registration includes box seat game tickets and pre-game party admission into “The Perch.” Because there is a limited number of Limestone College tickets are available for this alumni event, requests should be limited to alumni, spouses, and children. Registration is required by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 20.
