As a complement to Limestone’s Strategic Vision and new Quality Enhancement Plan, the College will soon be adding a new platform to publicize student achievements both in and out of the classroom.
Limestone has joined the growing list of higher education institutions that are using Merit Pages so that students receive recognition when they are named to an academic or leadership position, join a team, volunteer in the community, study abroad, make an academic honor’s list, earn a scholarship, and more.
This new service, to be operated by the Department of Communications & Marketing, will allow Limestone College students to get credit for their achievements and activities, and it will create an online profile at Merit Pages that they can use for jobs, internships, and references after graduation. Students can also share their accolades with their friends and family to generate more interest and involvement in the opportunities Limestone offers.
Why Is Merit Pages Important For Limestone Students?
• Merit helps people who make decisions about internships, grad school, and jobs find the "good stuff" about Limestone’s students, and recognizes their accomplishments with official college "badges" that show that they are authentic.
• A Merit profile creates a positive online identity for post-graduation success. A Limestone student's Merit profile is a way for them to shine online to potential employers and others after graduation.
• Students who are featured will be informed of the announcement through their Limestone College email address and encouraged to share their accomplishments with family and friends on social media channels, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This will reinforce the positive accomplishment and will reflect positively on Limestone as a whole.
Stay tuned! Merit Pages is coming soon to Limestone College!
