Limestone College, in partnership with the Educational Advisory Board (EAB), has announced the launch of “Navigate,” a new platform that focuses on comprehensive student academic support and success.
“Navigate” is a comprehensive platform that provides the Limestone student support network with information to help every student make smarter choices. It provides student-specific information in real-time that can be accessed by administrators, advisors, deans, faculty, and staff in a network designed to help proactively manage student success and deliver a return on education.
With a core objective to guide students throughout their journeys from orientation to graduation, “Navigate” is a powerful new tool that allows students greater control of their academic experience with the long-term objective of improving both graduation and retention rates.
“Navigate enhances the student experience by providing fundamental information at their fingertips,” noted Limestone’s Dean of Student Success Stacey Mason. “Students have access to resources, appointment scheduling, to-dos, and campus events at the touch of a button. We can send customized information to students based on the information they share with us.”
As the program’s point person, Mason leads a team of campus representatives who tailored the system based on the needs of the College. “Navigate will improve how faculty and staff support students through enhanced communication and a strengthened collaborative network focused on student success,” Mason added.
Limestone students will be able to use the “Navigate” desktop dashboard and mobile app, which is available in the App Store and Google Play, to keep track of important tasks and facilitate their progress toward timely degree completion. Students will also be able to schedule advising and student success appointments with faculty and staff directly from within the app.
The innovative platform is also intended to become a more centralized advising hub, offering a shared workspace for faculty and staff to engage with students in more cohesive and meaningful ways. Advisors will be able to can track students’ progress in the platform and share notes across the College’s various support areas.
“Navigate” is now live for students on Limestone’s Day Campus and will soon be available for the College’s Online & Evening Program students.
“The success of our students is our top priority at Limestone, and we are excited about the capability of the ‘Navigate’ platform to increase the engagement of students in their educational paths,” said Limestone College President Dr. Darrel Parker. “Based on the communication features of ‘Navigate,’ and the analytics capabilities of the platform, data shows that our retention and graduation rates will be enhanced.”
In addition to tracking academic progress, students will be able to use “Navigate” to quickly view class schedules and important dates, receive notifications and deadline alerts, and view a directory of campus services that provide student assistance.
