The Limestone University Library will present the Fall 2022 Student Research and Presentations Symposium on Friday, December 9.
The in-person portion of the Symposium will take place at multiple locations in the Limestone Library, which is located inside the Hines & Riggins Center on campus. There will also be online presentations.
Limestone’s Student Research and Presentations Symposium takes place bi-annually to allow students to share, discuss, and interact with their peers and the University community regarding their research and creative works. Additional goals of the Symposium include encouraging inter-disciplinary collaborations, providing a venue where quality works can be seen as examples to be modeled after by students the following year, and offering a convenient platform for students to experience presenting beyond the classroom. It also offers the opportunity for the work of students to be shared beyond the Limestone campus in an online environment through the University’s Shared Shelf digital platform.
“We are excited to announce that 87 students will be presenting, with 77 presentations occurring at three concurrent locations in the library and online. We are thrilled that for the very first time, a full-time online student will be presenting in the Symposium, " said Lizah Ismail, Director of the Library. "The full-time online student majoring in Criminal Justice will be presenting ‘live,’ while three other students' pre-recorded presentations will be available on-demand. There will also be a record number of poster presentations this year, with a total of 19.”
The schedule for the Symposium currently includes presentations from Education, Physical Education, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Biology, Business, Finance, Health Science and Athletic Training. Nine students from the Honors College will be presenting this year.
