Limestone University Professor of Art Carolyn Ford will have two works of art featured in the juried exhibit and publication Last Call VI: Handmade Ceramics for Storing, Pouring, & Sipping Fine Libations.
The exhibit, held March 5-April 30, 2021, at The Companion Gallery in Humboldt, TN, will be juried by ceramicist Samantha Momeyer and will consist of pitchers, decanters, bottles, ice buckets, shakers, flights, goblets, steins, shots, rocks cups, tumblers, etc. of every type of clay, temperature, and atmosphere. Ford’s selected works humorously illustrate drinking puns.
“Now in its sixth year, Last Call is one of the most anticipated juried ceramics exhibitions by makers and collectors alike,” said Eric Botby, owner and proprietor of The Companion Gallery. “This will be the third juried exhibition at our new location. We are primarily interested in one-of-a-kind functional ceramics consistent with the flavor of our collection.”
Companion Gallery will be printing a full-color catalog, and the entire exhibition will be available for sale online. An opening reception will depend on the current situation with COVID-19. The Companion Gallery is located at 3600 East Mitchell Street, Humboldt, TN, and can be found online at companiongallery.com.
