Limestone College Professor Carolyn Ford, Chair of the Art Department, is currently featured in a solo art exhibit entitled “Circular” at North Greenville University.
The exhibit, which features both functional thrown works as well as low relief tiles, will be on display through Feb. 29. An Artist Talk featuring demonstrations will be held on Feb. 9 at 8 a.m. in the NGU ceramics lab.
“I work with clay as a cathartic response to my tangent-filled thoughts,” Ford said of the exhibit. “Throwing on the wheel is a form of meditation while creating carved disks acts as a form of communication. The physicality of working with clay, the risk, the surprise, and the flexibility of the medium, are all part of the process.”
