The Limestone University Wind Ensemble will present its annual Fall Concert on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m.
The event will take place in-person at Fullerton Auditorium on the Limestone campus and admission is free. For those who cannot attend, there will also be a livestream of the concert available on the Limestone University Wind Ensemble Facebook page.
“Newcomers and long-time fans of the Wind Ensemble alike will love this energetic and eclectic program,” said concert conductor Seth Taft, Limestone’s Assistant Professor of Music, Director of Instrumental Music, and Program Coordinator of Music & Music Education. “This concert has something for everyone.”
The program will be selected from a variety of pieces, covering a multitude of different styles and time periods, including “Kyiv, 2022” by Brian Balmages; “First Suite in E♭” by Gustav Holst (ed. Frederick Fennell); “Spirited Away” by Joe Hisaishi and Yumi Kimura (arr. Kazuhiro Morita); “Video Games Live, Part 1” (arr. Ralph Ford); “Night on Bald Mountain” by Modest Mussorgsky (arr. Mark Williams); “Albanian Dance” by Shelley Hanson; “Into the Silent Land” by Steve Danyew; and “Fuliculi, Funicula” by Luigi Denza (arr. Alfred Reed).
