Limestone College recently named Lindsay Bartholomew as its Director of Career and Professional Development.
“I am delighted to have Lindsay as part of the team,” said Stacey Mason, Limestone’s Dean of Student Success. “She brings a passion for working with students to achieve their post-graduation goals and, with our heightened concentration on career readiness, Lindsay’s role is crucial as we prepare our students to thrive.”
As the Director, Bartholomew will guide students through competencies that will prepare them for competitive futures. She will empower students through career exploration, job search strategies, résumé preparation, workshops, and professional growth opportunities.
Bartholomew will focus on building partnerships with external constituencies to create internships, career opportunities, and graduate school prospects. She will also collaborate with faculty and staff across all Limestone campuses to maximize the career and professional development of the students.
“It is certainly an honor to be selected for this position and to become a member of the Limestone family,” Bartholomew said. “My overall mission is to ensure that our students are engaged as active participants in their professional development process from day one and that the resources offered through the Center of Career and Professional Development provide them with the knowledge and confidence necessary to achieve a successful and fulfilling career. I am very much looking forward to working with our faculty, staff, alumni and all of our community partners in order to accomplish those goals.”
Prior to her position at Limestone, Bartholomew was an academic and enrollment advisor at Spartanburg Community College, where among other accomplishments, she conducted career advising and assessment in partnership with the Career Services department and led several workshops on professional development strategies.
She also served three years as an admissions counselor at the University of South Carolina Upstate where she supervised student ambassadors, organized recruitment and orientation events, and advised prospective students.
Bartholomew is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). She holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Columbia College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of South Carolina Upstate.
