Student Research & Presentations Symposium To Be Held Virtually On April 23

Limestone University’s A.J. Eastwood Library will virtually present the Spring 2021 Student Research and Presentations Symposium on Friday, April 23.

The symposium is being presented virtually, for the second consecutive time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Limestone’s Student Research and Presentations Symposium takes place bi-annually to allow students to share, discuss, and interact with their peers and the University community regarding their research and creative works.

“We were determined to continue the tradition of having the Symposium this year, even in the midst of a pandemic, and are proud to present this event virtually, just as we did last fall,” said Lizah Ismail, Director of the Library. “The Symposium highlights one of the many high-impact practices Limestone students participate in and being that this is such an important endeavor, Limestone has designated Symposium Day as a ‘no class’ day on the Academic calendar.”

The schedule for the symposium currently includes presentations from Criminal Justice, Finance, Art, Athletic Training, English, Business, Education, History, Physical Education, and Psychology.

The Symphonic Band and Choir will be participating in the Symposium once again. The group will perform in the Quad from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Audience members who wear a mask and socially distance are invited to attend.

The A.J. Eastwood Library will also be supporting the virtual launch event for The Candelabra, Limestone's literary and arts magazine, which will take place at 5 p.m., at the conclusion of the Student Symposium activities.
