Limestone College has eased the way that its students obtain their textbooks by entering into an agreement for eCampus.com to virtually handle those sales.
The College’s new textbook vendor, eCampus.com, is an industry leader for price, selection, and customer service. The company can be used to order new and used textbooks, digital textbooks, new and used rental textbooks, custom published materials, course packs, software, materials published or distributed electronically, and supplies.
Day Campus students ordering their books online through eCampus will pick them up at the Saints Shop Campus Store. Online and Evening Program students will have their books mailed to their residences.
Beginning on August 1, 2019, students can order books from eCampus directly from their course schedules posted in the LC Portal.
Although eCampus sells and rents textbooks exclusively, it has affiliate relationships with more than 300 online retailers that students can also conveniently utilize. From the eCampus.com link on their course schedules, students can opt to buy or rent their textbooks, or shop other retailers.
Students will use the link limestone.ecampus.com to return their rentals, or if they chose to do so, during specified time periods sell back books that have been purchased. That web address also provides a link to purchase Saints merchandise from the campus store.
Limestone will continue to offer a separate Saints Shop Campus Store website for those who would like to purchase merchandise and apparel. Those purchases can be made at https://bookstore.limestone.edu.
“Our new program offers savings to students and makes the book buying and renting process much easier,” said Limestone College President Dr. Darrell Parker. “Many schools across the country are moving to online book sales because it is so cost-effective and efficient. Limestone’s number one priority with this new agreement is to offer the best possible customer service experience for our students.”
Launched in 1999, eCampus.com was one of the nation's first online textbook retailers, offering discounted textbooks to students. As the online industry grew, eCampus.com began to increase its breadth of services. In 2002, the eCampus.com Virtual Bookstores division was launched when an exclusive partnership was formed with a local college to serve as the school's primary textbook provider. It has continued to expand its partnerships with institutions across the country, ranging from large public universities to small private colleges. To date, eCampus.com is the trusted textbook solution for hundreds of higher education institutions looking to increase textbook affordability and simplify the complexities of course material adoptions.
