Professor Henry Hiott Selected To Serve On Mental Health Board

Henry Hiott, Associate Professor of Social Work at Limestone College, was recently appointed by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster to serve on the Coastal Empire Mental Health Board of Directors.

Coastal Empire Mental Health serves the citizens of Allendale, Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper Counties.

The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is a healthcare organization committed to providing quality mental health services to residents of South Carolina. DMH clinical staff provides a complete array of necessary mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Hiott earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the College of Charleston.

The mission of the Limestone College Social Work program is to prepare students for beginning generalist practice, using knowledge of professional self, social work values, and interpersonal skills to improve quality of life and effect social change.
