With the start of the new Limestone College football season underway, we wanted to remind our students, alumni, staff, and fans about our tradition at Limestone football games, and all other Saints athletics events, when the Limestone College Alma Mater is played.
Throwing an “L” is our best non-verbal way to show school spirit at Limestone. You’ll want to join the team, cheerleaders, dance team, and band by giving an "L" during the playing of the Limestone alma mater at the end of games.
SO HERE IT GOES...
Using just your right hand, stick out your thumb to the side while raising your index and middle fingers. Now bend your ring and pinky fingers. That’s it.
During the Alma Mater, throw the “L” at the beginning of the final line… “As long as I shall live.”
You will have a change to throw an "L" for Limestone when the Saints football team returns home this Saturday at 1 p.m. to open the South Atlantic Conference slate against Tusculum at The Reservation.
