Undergraduate Admissions
To be accepted as a Limestone student, we need some information in addition to your completed application. Check below to determine what admissions requirements apply to you.

Freshman
- a copy of your high school transcript or GED transcript;
- successful completion of a diploma program;
- optionally send your SAT or ACT scores (unless you’re 21+ years old or in military service).
International Students
International students should follow the process outlined for freshmen admissions if they have not previously attended college, or follow the process outlined for transfer admissions if they have previously attended college. All transcripts must be translated into English.
Enrolling students must submit their foreign college transcript through World Education Services (www.wes.org), International Education Evaluations, or other accredited services for evaluation
- If the applicant is from a non-English speaking country, they are required to submit:
- The TOEFL (IBT minimum score 61 or Paper minimum score 500), IELTS (minimum score 6), or Duolingo English Test (minimum score 95) is required for all applicants whose native language is not English. If a minimum score is not met, students may submit proof of successful completion of an ESL program, SAT, or ACT scores for review to be taken into consideration.
- We are unable to waive the cost of any English exams taken by an applicant.
- If you have attended an accredited secondary or post-secondary institution in the United States for two or more years and have a grade point average at or above a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale (or equivalent) , you do not need to send language test scores.
- All international students studying in the United States must be enrolled as a full-time student and must follow the U.S. Department of Homeland Security regulations regarding on campus, online, and distance courses. Online students are required to take their examinations in the testing center on our campus in Gaffney. International students residing outside the United States are eligible for admission to fully online programs.
Transfer Students
who have previously attended a regionally accredited college or university:
- you need at least 12 credit hours of post-high school college credit to apply in this category; if you have less than 12 credit hours, you should apply as a FRESHMAN (see above);
- you must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale;
- you must be in good standing at the last institute you attended;
- (optional) you may send your SAT or ACT scores unless you are 21+ years of age, are in the military, or are transferring 12+ credits;
- we will need official transcripts of all previous college studies; and your high school transcripts if you are a South Carolina resident;
- to receive a Limestone University baccalaureate degree, you must earn a minimum of 31 semester hours as a Limestone student.
