Alumni and friends of Limestone will have the opportunity to support the College during its “SaintsGiving” campaign on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
As part of the national "Giving Tuesday" initiative, Limestone will host its sixth annual “SaintsGiving” as a way to celebrate generosity and to encourage giving.
The focus of this year’s “SaintsGiving” is donor participation.
“It’s not so much about the size of the gift, but getting as many friends and alumni of the College to show their support by making a gift of some kind,” said Kelly Curtis, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. “Our goal is to not only raise funds for Limestone, but to engage our campus and the community about the importance of giving back. We already have the Thanksgiving holiday as a day to give thanks. And we have Black Friday and Cyber Monday where people can get great deals on Christmas gifts. With ‘SaintsGiving’ Tuesday, we are celebrating generosity and providing a day to support Limestone College.”
Alumni and friends of Limestone are encouraged to make tax-deductible “SaintsGiving” donations at www.limestone.edu. From there, visitors will be directed to the “SaintsGiving” webpage where they make contributions online. The campaign will be open until 12 midnight on December 3.
“SaintsGiving” is being held in conjunction with the global “Giving Tuesday” movement that takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. “Giving Tuesday” has created a national day of giving to kick-off the giving season.
Alumni and friends can also make an impact on Limestone when they shop online this holiday season. When purchasing gifts on Amazon, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the College when shopping at www.smile.amazon.com.
