The 2022 edition of The Candelabra is hot off the press and Limestone University is hosting a launch party for the magazine on Friday, April 29, at 5:30 p.m., inside the Hines & Riggins Center.
Each year, Limestone publishes The Candelabra, a literary and art magazine that displays the best works of contributors, including poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, and visual art.
In celebration of the contributors and their works, artists and authors will have the opportunity on April 29 to discuss their pieces and contributors can sign up for the open mic, where they can share their published work. Refreshments will be provided for those who attend.
“We are excited to once again be publishing creative work by students and alumni in this year’s magazine,” said Professor of English Erin Pushman. “We invite everyone to come out to the launch party and visit with our amazing contributors.”
The Candelabra, which utilizes student editors to produce the magazine, has a long history at Limestone and dates back to the 1950s.
“The delightful artwork, poems, essays, short stories, photographs, and more, from our extraordinarily talented Limestone students and alumni continues to make our campus vibrant and beautiful,” noted the University’s President Dr. Darrell Parker. “To all who contributed, job well done!”
