Dr. Catherine Froneberger Siarris holds a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Converse University, a Master of Music in opera from Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford, West Hartford, Connecticut and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Voice Performance from University of South Carolina.
Serving on the faculties of Limestone University, Spartanburg Community College, and The Lawson Academy of Arts at Converse College, she maintains membership in National Association of Teachers of Singing. An active performer of opera, music theatre, and solo recitals, her performance career includes numerous operatic leading roles such as Micaela in Carmen, Adina in L'Elisir d'Amore, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Sonia in Merry Widow, Pamina in Die Zauberflӧte, Madame Lidoine in Dialogues des Carmélites, and most recently Lady Thiang in The King and I and Violet Newstead in Nine To Five. Dr. Siarris currently sings with SC-based soprano trio, "The Blonde, the Brunette, and the Redhead." She is the mother of three sons.
Teaching Mission: Vocal health and singing longevity is my goal for students. Developing students will learn strong vocal technique to ensure a lifetime of singing. In addition, Dr. Siarris instructs students’ music interpretation, foreign language pronunciations and translations, audition techniques, stage deportment and other aspects of song presentation.
