A graduate assistantship is a student employment opportunity for graduate students. These opportunities offer academic/practical work experience while you pursue your graduate degree. Graduate Assistants work a set number of hours per week and, in return, receive a tuition waiver.

Each assistantship has its own unique job description and duties as assigned by the department or supervisor.

Graduate Assistant Positions

  • GA for Limestone Online: Customer Service Rep.

    Position Overview:
    The Graduate Assistant will work 20 hours per week on campus, with a schedule determined by departmental needs and the candidate's availability. Typical hours for the department are Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–1:30 PM. There are two positions available.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Guide prospective students through the admissions process, addressing inquiries about programs, transfer credits, transcripts, and application procedures.
    • Engage in daily outbound/inbound calls, emails, and texts (3+ hours of call time).
    • Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality in compliance with policies.
    • Collaborate with Enrollment Counselors and various university departments.
    • Participate in meetings and contribute to a high-performing, service-oriented team.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
    • Enrollment in a Limestone University graduate program.
    • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • GA for Men's and Women's Track and Field Coach/Throws

    Limestone University, a Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC), invites applications for the assistant position of Graduate Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach / Throws.

    Job Overview-The successful candidate will assist the head coach in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to: coaching the throwing events, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes, office duties, recruiting, reporting strength & conditioning and athletic training participation, along with other duties as needed to continue the success of the program.

    Requirements- A Bachelor degree is required for this position. Candidate must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Limestone University, the SAC, and the NCAA. Candidates must have previous successful coaching experience at the NCAA level. The selected candidate must be willing to consent to, and pass, with satisfactory results, an investigative consumer report.
