Great news for students from South Carolina!
The South Carolina Higher Education Tuition Grants Commission held a special called meeting on July 31, to discuss certain changes to the South Carolina Tuition Grants Program. Based on available funding from the General Assembly, the Commission voted unanimously to increase the maximum grant from the $4,700 initial amount approved earlier this year to $4,800 for the 2023-2024 academic year.
A maximum grant of $4,800 is the largest maximum grant in the South Carolina Tuition Grants 53-year history!
Incoming freshmen who are fully admitted as degree seeking students and who have obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED or Adult Education Diploma) shall be considered academically eligible for South Carolina Tuition Grant. All academic requirements (High School GPA, Test Score, and Class rank) have been removed.
Students must have completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) prior to the state’s June 30 deadline and meet all other eligibility requirements.
With those requirement changes, some prospective students might want to now consider reactivating their applications to Limestone University.
For students who have previously applied to Limestone, if you have questions regarding recent updates to the South Carolina Tuition Grant eligibility requirements, please contact the University's Department of Enrollment Services at (864) 488-4552 or send an email at Admissions@limestone.edu.
