The Limestone University Art Gallery is calling for submissions for its Fall 2023 Juried Exhibit.
This year’s exhibit, “Makers & Mentors,” will be on display from November 20, 2023, until January 18, 2024. It is a celebration of artists who are educators, mentors, and teachers. The Gallery welcomes submissions that reflect upon the artists’ previous and current mentors or visual inspirations, as well as collaborations between art students and teachers.
Awards will be given at the reception for the exhibit, which will be announced later.
All artists from high school to professional status are welcome to apply and may submit up to five works of art. In dialogue with the exhibit in the Limestone Gallery located inside the Hines & Riggins Center, elementary and middle school-age students are invited to submit works for a Junior Artist Exhibit in the Granberry Gallery.
Submissions for both exhibits should be sent in no later than October 2. Artists can send their work to Gallery Director Emily Tuttle at etuttle@limestone.edu.
All media types are accepted, and there is a $20 submission fee, which can be submitted by visiting HERE.
In addition to the fee, all submissions should include images in jpeg format, 300dpi, an artist statement for individual or collective works that reflects upon the theme of the exhibit, valuations of submitted works, and a list of any installation needs. Please include a full label for the works including the title, artist’s preferred name, medium, and a school or professional affiliation if so desired.
