Matthew Latzka

Pianist Matthew Latzka recently joined the faculty of the Limestone University Community Music School. Latzka has been playing the piano since the age of five and holds a bachelor’s in piano performance from North Greenville University and a master's in piano performance from Converse University. “I am so excited to be a part of the Limestone Community Music School,” Latzka said. “Everyone I have met so far has been so kind and welcoming. I hope to be a part of this community for years to come and share the gift of music with all.” Latzka has had many opportunities to play solo recitals, in small and large ensembles, as an accompanist and as a church pianist. He is also a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, an honor society dedicated to the furtherance of music in education and education in music in college, universities, and other institutions of higher learning. Latzka credits his piano teachers with providing the inspiration for him to teach the next generation of musicians. The Limestone University Community Music School is committed to cultivating and promoting music appreciation in the community by offering private lessons to students of all ages and abilities in piano, voice, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and strings.
