Limestone University Associate Professor of English Erin Pushman will be reading one of her essays during a virtual book launch on Thursday, Oct. 8, starting at 7 p.m.
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time for women across the country to recognize and mourn their lost babies. Life in Ten Press is publishing an anthology dealing with pregnancy loss, and Pushman will have a personal essay included in the publication. She has been invited to read her list essay, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting a Miscarriage,” for the virtual book launch. The launch will be live-streamed via Facebook. The upcoming book is titled “Unspoken: Writers on Infertility, Miscarriage, and Stillbirth.”
Pushman is a member of the standing committee for the Conference on College Composition & Communication (CCCC) Creative Nonfiction Special Interest Group. She has been published in several journals and magazines. She is currently blogging about her daughter's battle with a disfiguring disease.
