Limestone 2018 Alumni Awards Nominations Now Being Accepted

During Homecoming festivities this fall, Limestone College will recognize the outstanding accomplishments and achievements of several of its alumni.

In order to be a recipient of an award, a nominee must be an alumna or alumnus of Limestone, they cannot have previously received the same award, and they must be available to accept the award in person during a special ceremony on September 28.

The Limestone Alumni Office is receiving nominations in each of the four categories, and a committee made up of the College’s alumni will select the award winners. The awards will recognize graduates who have distinguished themselves in their professional fields and are exemplary ambassadors for the College. Recipients reflect the high-standing character of their alma mater.

The Golden Alumni Achievement Award nominees will be evaluated for their demonstrated leadership, professional attainment, community involvement, College involvement, and leadership since their graduation. This award is open to Limestone 50-year reunion class members.

Nominees for the Alumnus of the Year Award will be evaluated based on their achievement and great prominence in their career field. Selection is based on the person as a whole and their extraordinary service and support of the College.

Nominees for the Alumni Service Award will be evaluated on their volunteer service and contributions to the public on either a local, national, or an international level, and/or to Limestone College.

The Rock Solid Alumni Award nominees will be evaluated on their outstanding promise in their fields of endeavor, demonstrated leadership, and service to Limestone College and/or their community. The award is to be given to no more than five alumni who have graduated within the last ten years and who are 35 years of age or younger.

Alumni and friends of the College can make a nomination for the 2018 Alumni Awards Ceremony by completing the form online or by mail by August 1. Forms should be returned with required supporting criteria to Limestone College, Office of Alumni Affairs, 1115 College Drive, Gaffney, SC 29340. Current employees of Limestone are not eligible to receive an award.
