Art Department Trip To British Isles Coming In Summer Of 2019

Limestone College’s Department of Art is planning its third trip abroad in the summer of 2019 and students, staff, faculty, and alumni are invited to come along.

Professors Carolyn Ford and Emily Tuttle are organizing the 11-day British Isles adventure that will include stops in England, Ireland, and Wales. There will also be an excursion into London.

“In the British Isles, the bindings of culture and history are as strong as King Arthur's sword,” said a representative with Education First Travel. “As you zip across the landscapes that knights spent centuries battling for, it all comes into focus. Try not to blink as you see where ties were broken and kingdoms were defended. English works everywhere you go, but your jam-lacked adventure will leave you fluent in everything British Isles.”

For more information about the trip, visit the Education First website at www.efcollegestudytours.com/professors-trip/2022574ZX or send an email to Tuttle at etuttle@limestone.edu.

Ford and Tuttle have led two tours with Limestone College students, including Italy & Greece and Spain & Portugal. During free time abroad, they strive to deepen the students’ understanding of art, architecture, crafts, and history. Tuttle currently teaches Art Appreciation online. Ford teaches Drawing and Ceramics at the Limestone Day Campus.
