Limestone University's record-setting quarterback Dustin Noller has been selected as one of the Top 10 NCAA Division II quarterbacks to watch this season by FloFootball.
Noller, who is ranked at No. 3 in the FloFootball article, has keyed Limestone’s back-to back playoff bids the past two seasons, pulling off the feat for the first time in program history.
“Noller is back in business with the Saints as a graduate student this year after building further upon what were already solid numbers from Limestone’s landmark 2022 season — their first winning campaign since the football team began play in 2014,” the article said.
“Noller beefed up his passing stats last season in just about every category, throwing for more yards (2,966 from 2,480 in 2022), more touchdowns (31 from 21), fewer interceptions (four from 11) and a higher completion percentage (65% from 60%) as he earned a well deserved selection as the South Atlantic Conference’s Offensive Player of the Year and a Harlon Hill Trophy nomination, rewriting Limestone’s school record books in the process,” the article added.
Last season, Noller became the first player in team history to earn the SAC’s highest honor, while being named to the All-SAC Offensive Team.
He holds the Limestone football record for most passing yards in a career (6,561), passing yards in a season (2,966), touchdowns in a career (61), touchdowns in a season (31), career completions (491), season completions (208), completion percentage (66%), and passing touchdowns in a game (5).
Noller threw for multiple touchdowns in eight of his 10 games played last season and surpassed 300 yards passing on three occasions.
He led the conference in total passing yards per game (270.4) and passing touchdowns while the Limestone offense as a whole led the SAC in yards per game at 443.4.
