Fundraising efforts are currently underway to provide upgrades to Saints Field, which hosts Limestone University football, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, and field hockey. The upgrades will also provide Limestone the opportunity to move future graduation ceremonies to the stadium, as well as host other large-scale events.
Saints Field will welcome the NCAA Division II Field Hockey National Championship 2024. The NCAA announced in 2020 that Limestone, in partnership with OneSpartanburg, Inc., will serve as the host site for the 2024 Field Hockey National Championship. Two national semifinal games and the national title game will be played at Saints Field. Bringing four teams to Limestone, the semifinal contests will be held November 22, and the Field Hockey National Championship will be played on November 24.
New renderings for the Saints Field upgrades were recently completed. To see more renderings, visit HERE.
The latest renderings include plans to replace the artificial turf, expand seating for Saints fans, build visitor seating, provide rental cabanas, construct two new restrooms/concessions stands, expand the hospitality space for Saints Club members and fans, erect a new scoreboard, and provide more fencing.
The renderings also show a proposed new Strength and Performance Center that, if funding is secured, will be built near the stadium at the Bob Campbell Field House in a location behind the Bob Prevatte statue.
Limestone officials have stressed that funding for the Saints Field upgrades will come 100 percent from donors, corporate sponsors, advertisers, and other partners.
