Nursing Pre-Licensure
The South Carolina Board of Nursing recently approved Limestone University to begin offering a pre-licensure nursing program. As the regulating body for the practice of nursing the state, South Carolina Board of Nursing approval marks a significant milestone in the progress of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Pre-Licensure program.

Out of an abundance of caution, Limestone University officials, in cooperation with Limestone’s Campus Safety Department, have made the decision to close the campus on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, due to the potential for severe weather in our area. All Limestone University classes are cancelled for Tuesday. All Limestone University faculty and staff offices will be closed.

Funeral services for legendary coach Bob Prevatte will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at First Baptist Church in Gaffney. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment with military honors will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Limestone University is the proud home of the Bob Prevatte Athletic Complex that was made possible through a gift from Coach Prevatte's former player and long-time friend Jerry Richardson. The Saints' baseball field is also named for Coach Prevatte.

Robert Noyce
Limestone University’s Master of Education in Teacher Leadership program was recently awarded a $1.4 million National Science Foundation grant for Teacher Leadership in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). It represents the largest academic grant that Limestone has received to date, the result of a year-long grant-writing process.

Dancing Ledge
The Limestone University Art Gallery has announced its first exhibition of fall semester, titled “Dancing Ledge.” The exhibit is comprised of one large scale abstract multimedia sculpture and a series of dimensional collages. It opened on August 5 and will run through October 5. There will be a reception and artist talk on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 5 p.m., in the Hines & Riggins Center lobby.

S.C. Tuition Grant
Great news for students from South Carolina! The South Carolina Higher Education Tuition Grants Commission recently voted unanimously to increase the maximum grant from the $4,700 initial amount approved earlier this year to $4,800 for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Dean's List & Honor Roll Spring 2023
Limestone University had a combined 262 students named to either the Dean’s List or the Honor Roll for the spring semester of 2023. A total of 157 students made the Dean’s List, while 105 made the Honor Roll.

Hang In There, Bernie
It’s been a long and lonely summer for Limestone University’s mascot “Bernie” The Saint Bernard. Since the spring semester ended in May, “Bernie” has found himself alone for months here on campus, waiting for our new and returning Saints to arrive this fall. Hang in there, “Bernie.” It won’t be long before our beautiful and historic campus is filled with students once again.
