The Limestone University Wind Ensemble will perform its 2023 Spring Concert on Thursday, April 13, at 7 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium.

Coming off the most successful season in program history – which included a bid into the NCAA Division II National Championship Playoffs – Limestone University’s football team will be back in front of its fans on Saturday, April 15, at 2 p.m., for the Saints’ annual “Blue & White Spring Game.”

Limestone University and its Athletic Department have announced that it is discontinuing its women’s wrestling program effectively immediately. Currently enrolled students will retain their scholarships through the completion of their fourth academic year if they remain at Limestone.

A proactive strategic realignment of resources being implemented by Limestone will better position the University to support long-term goals and to serve its mission to deliver excellence in educating students from diverse backgrounds, including those individuals who may find access to higher education difficult.

Limestone University has appointed Hailey P. Martin as its new Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, making her the first female in the institution’s history to serve in that position.

Limestone’s fundraising efforts are anticipating similar success that its athletics department enjoyed under the leadership of Michael H. Cerino who has transitioned into a new role with the University.

Limestone University will host a pair of Women in Technology & Sciences (WITS) Conferences on Thursday, March 23, and Friday, March 24, from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.

Limestone University will recognize “Dr. M.L. Annette Reynolds Day” on Monday, Feb. 27, as the culmination of its Black History Month celebration on campus.  

The Bike-Share Pilot Program coordinated by Limestone University and the City of Gaffney is officially underway now that the bikes have arrived on campus.

The Limestone University cheer and dance programs are hosting a Spirit Squad Kiddie Camp on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 8 a.m.

Limestone University student Qualiza Anderson has been selected to receive a Council of Independent Colleges/UPS Scholarship provided by South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU).

Limestone University Assistant Professor of English and Spanish Dr. Jack Knipe will soon present his research on the role of Māori language and culture at an English-medium school in New Zealand at the 67th Annual Conference of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). 

David C. Mitchell, a 1991 graduate of Limestone and Real Men Lead Program mentor, will serve as the keynote speaker on Thursday, Feb. 9, as the University begins its observance of Black History Month.

Fundraising efforts are currently underway to provide upgrades to Saints Field, which hosts Limestone University football, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, and field hockey. The upgrades will also provide Limestone the opportunity to move future graduation ceremonies to the stadium, as well as host other large-scale events.

The Board of Trustees at Limestone University has voted to name Dr. Monica Baloga as Interim President of the Gaffney-based institution.

Limestone University has named Eric McDonald as its Interim Vice President For Finance & Administration. McDonald started his new duties at Limestone on Monday, Jan. 31.

I wanted to take a moment this afternoon to reach out during this time of transition to reassure our campus, alumni, and friends that Limestone, although we have much work to do, is well-positioned to successfully move forward. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve as the Acting President of our wonderful University, and I appreciate the trust and confidence of our Board of Trustees.

Limestone University will formally dedicate “Jimmy Martin Field” at its new softball complex on Sunday, Feb. 19, in between games of a doubleheader.

Carolyn Ford, a Professor of Art at Limestone University, recently took part in the “Terracotta Corridor” exhibition in Napa, CA.

Limestone University alum and former Saints student-athlete Justin Rogers was recently named the head football coach at South Stokes High School in Walnut Cove, North Carolina.

Limestone Professor Dr. Aubrey L. Sejuit took past last month in the Open House for the Fisher House Columbia, a newly built facility that will serve as a “home away from home” for the families of veterans receiving medical care in the state’s capital.

In observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, Limestone University will hold its annual “Day of Service” on Monday, Jan. 16.

Limestone University, along with the Cherokee County community, is mourning the loss of Board of Trustees member Tommy E. Martin, who passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, Jan. 8, at the age of 77.

Just over three years ago, Limestone launched a novel new program – the “Gold & Blue Promise” – that made it possible for qualifying transfer students to realize their dreams of earning a four-year degree tuition free. The “Gold & Blue Promise” program continues to make transferring to the Gaffney-based University affordable, and in some cases, free to eligible students.

Limestone University now has another championship to add to its resume, this time from one of its newest programs.

A digital version of the program for Limestone University's 2022 Fall Commencement scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. inside Fullerton Auditorium is now available.

Limestone University has made the decision to move its upcoming Fall 2022 graduation ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 17, indoors to Fullerton Auditorium.

Due to the high probability of inclement weather this weekend, the Limestone University Luminaries scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 10, have been cancelled. “Christmas On Campus” will still take place as scheduled.

UPDATED (12-13-22): Limestone's graduation ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. has been moved inside to Fullerton Auditorium.

Limestone University recently received a donation of the collected papers, photographs and other media of Ruth Moss Easterling, a 1932 Limestone University alumna and respected leader in the North Carolina General Assembly from 1977 to 2002.

A holiday tradition that goes back over three decades, the Limestone Luminaries are set to return to the University on Saturday, Dec. 10, as part of “Christmas On Campus” that will also bring music, ice skating, a visit from Santa Claus, and more to campus.
